— THE VISION

Tardigrade
Survivor from
outer space

Introducing the Tardigrade – The world's first moon concept motorcycle. Inspired by future and past adventures to orbit, Andrey Fabishevsky visualized a lunar concept motorcycle back in 2020. An exploration vision that Nico Mueller (CEO, Hookie Co.) and his crew realized from the technical site. The Tardigrade will be displayed from mid-October 2021 at the Petersen Automotive Museum as a part of the ADV:Overland exhibition.

why Tardigrade

They have been found everywhere in Earth's biosphere. From mountaintops to the deep sea and mud volcanoes, and from tropical rainforests to the Antarctic. Tardigrades are among the most resilient animals known, with individual species able to survive extreme conditions of any kind. Tardigrades are true survivors who have also endured the rigors of outer space.

THERE ARE NO LIMITS TO THE IMAGINATION. IN 2021 WE WANT TO PUSH THE BOUNDARIES OF WHAT IS POSSIBLE EVEN FURTHER. OFF TO NEW HORIZONS.

Simultaneously, it is a symbol for the disentanglement of the mind. And for empowerment. The entire project ignores borders - those of countries, continents, role stereotypes and the status quo.

— THE TARDIGRADE

READY TO TAKE THE CHALLENGE

The Tardigrade Motorcycle is build to explore the moon’s surface and beyond. The passenger can carry different types of equipment and with a speed limit of 15km/h (9 mph) it has a battery range for almost 110km. A combination of ultra lightweight materials and changeable airless tire pieces allows the Space-Crew to tackle any obstacle on its mission. It was a vision with hurdles. But we proofed it.

HEIGHT: 0,90 m / 2,95 ft

LENGTH: 2,60 m / 8,53 ft

BATTERY RANGE: 110 km

TOP SPEED: 15 km/h / 9 mph

WEIGHT: 134 kg / 295,42 lbs

NO BORDERs ONLY FREEDOM

In July 1975, an American and a Russian shake hands in space. Apollo CSM-111 and Soyuz 19, docked with each other in a difficult maneuver within the Cold War. This is a strong signal: the U.S. and the Soviet Union, otherwise were bitter rivals in the space race, but fraternizing in space.

It takes a Multinational Team of Professional Dreamers to bring the vision of an individual creative to reality. Everyone involved wanted to move into the same direction. Borders, language, origin didn't matter, because the same dream was shared - building something bigger, even though it's just a "motorcycle".

The Tardigrade represent an atmosphere of adventure and departure. Daring to question the status quo, our small but highly motivated team has created something truly unique. Everyone is proud of that, for a reason. Because it is only to the imagination of Hookie that we are much closer to a cosmic driving experience between lunar craters and space stations. The world premiere of Hookie's Tardigrade will take place in mid-October as part of the ADV:Overland exhibition in the Petersen Automotive Museum (California).

Even the lubrication of the Tardigrade sets new standards, as only sustainable SYNTAINICS®️ e-lubricants have been used. SYNTAINICS®️ e-lubricants and motor oils are made by PURAGLOBE, a visionary technology company that transforms used oil into sustainable, advanced motor oils and lubricants. PURAGLOBE is a partner and proud sponsor of the Tardigrade project.
