2017 – This BMW RNineT was our very first modern custom built!

Any garage accustomed to working on older motorcycles has to shift their thinking when building a modern cafe racer. With a bike like the BMW R nineT, there's zero restoration work to be done, but there's also a whole whack of modern gadgetry to work around.

We started with a wireframe, which offered the flexibility to try different forms. In under two months, working on and off, we were satisfied with the tunnel of the BMW RNineT.

All parts including the seat, the tail and the gas tank are fully handmade from aluminium. This was the first project the we took on using this tricky material.
